View Full Version : 0 second respawn for purebasing?
Aren't we all tired of waiting everytime we die for at least 4 seconds to respawn?
I think of purebasing as something experimental... so why not experiment with 0 second respawn?
I know it's possible... Since Priitk DID remake subspace into continuum....

Heh that might actually be a fun flagging game. Smallish room, 3 flags floating in the middle and you gotta keep em. People try to steal the flag, get killed and the spawn makes them fly over the flag without picking them up. That'd be so messed up. Lag would make it totally unplayable either ways though.

The respawn timer is a necessity in preventing Sharks from being too powerful.
Honestly, they are the ships that would probably benefit the most from shorter respawn times because their jobs require them to be in certain places quickly. A terrier would be the same to a lesser extent because they still have to run to where they need to go and those 4 seconds are negligable, but to a shark who dies and can reattach immediately, it becomes a huge advantage.

Well when i mean 0 second respawn, i don't mean spawn at the same place... and troll king.. maybe sharks can still have their time limits.. i don't know

If you could attach immediately after your death, the basing's only goal would be to try to kamikaze the other freq's terrier, which would be extra difficult. No sense in this

This idea is not thought out at all: He must not realize how fast 0 seconds is, I mean, think of the chaos in the flagroom if when you die you're killing the person that killed you .3 seconds earlier and he's already back killing you in .4 seconds omg the points would be insane and the game would be no fun,

We know what he means, and seeing as you can attach immediatly it's pointless.
Increase attach time to 7 seconds. Maybe you kids won't be so kamikaze.

0 respawn is stupid,
If your freq has the flag, and is determind to keep it, then as soon as you die, you spawn, you attatch, possibly all this in under a second (if you have quick fingers :) ) effectivley you have never died and your death makes no difference wheather or not you freq keeps that precious flag.
Also, in an intense battle to keep the flag in the flagroom, when you die, respawn and attatch you are in a much better position to protect you terr, with a limited flagrrom size, to kill the terr would be near impossible,
Basing would get tedious, hard, and boring
