im kinda confused y u ppl need a trash talking section on forums. dont u ppl talk enuff trash in TW as is? u dont need another area to do it in. its sad what this world is coming to if there are 2 places needed to talk trash and considering there both over the interent where there is no human contact of the other person. just interesting

Well, this way, there's a place where people can go when they actually want to trash talk. After all, you can't use ?nopubchat on forums.

Um, yeah. You don't usually talk trash over matters of life and death. You usually talk trash over much more trivial things, like, I dunno... A GAME?

You've got to put things into perspective. For example, there only 547 threads in the Trash Talk forum as of this posting. That may seem like a lot until you see there are over 10 000 threads on the entire forum. That means that just about 5% of the entire forum is made up of Trash Talk. Compare that to the amount you find in-game and you'll see it's not very much at all.

Incidentally, if you count the number of posts instead of the number of threads, it's about 21 000 in TT out of 204 000 in the entire forum. That's about 10% but still not very much if you look at the bigger picture.

I dunno, it's still one of the 3 highest posted-in forum.s

Not even. General Discussion and the TW forum have more than double the number of threads and posts. TWLeagues also has more posts and threads. The next one after TT is Useless Crap, which has many more threads, but not as many responses because you really can't say very much with crap. I don't know about the figures for the private squad forums, but they tend to be more selective about who may or may not post in there anyways. Even Tech Support has more threads than Trash Talk, but fewer posts. Of course, many of those threads get solutions rather quickly, and there isn't that much to talk about once the problems are solved.

Plus, those other forums have topics that appeal to more readers and responders. Trash talking may have a lot of posts, but that's because with trash talking, you often have the same people arguing back and forth with multiple posts. The TT forum may have a large number of posts, but it's likely to have fewer actual people posting in it.
