Yeah, just thought it might be interesting to see what everyone's temp job was, and how much it sucks.
I work at a Theater woo, Cinemark sucks btw, cheapest company Ive ever seen.
Benefits: Free Movies, Free Popcorn, Free Drinks, Sometimes awesome Hours, Awesome co-workers.
Cons: Free Movies and Popcorn and Drinks can all be suspended whenever for alot of bs reasons, people look for reasons to write you up and suspend you during the slow times of the year/ Low job security, Employee Drama.

I have to clean theaters, sell tickets, tear tickets, and sell concessions, and do stock. Id like To be working Projection honestly.

I worked at this place called CCAG over the summer, I got 11 dollars an hour.

I only worked two days a week.

cons: shit food 3 times a day, shit pay, shit boss.

Not bad at all actually, even though you are the reason USA is in debt, I salute you. I could definitly make a living off that per week.

My day consists of the following:

• Riding/playing with a Segway
• Several Tesla coils (voltage >2 million)
• Several Van de Graaff generators
• Liquid Nitrogen
• HCl (aq) + Zn (s) -> ZnCl (aq) + H (g)
• Igniting the newly created Hydrogen (see above)
• Inhaling Helium and singing
• Burning Magnesium
• Debating on dumping Mg (s) into HCl (aq)
• Controlling an Einstein robot on a tricycle
• Launching paper rockets hundreds of feet

Anyways..

I'm working at Hollywood Video. I've only been there for 2 months right now, but they're trying to push me for manager, lol. I can't be making this up. I dunno what's gonna go down with it.

Pros: Free Movies and Video Games. Getting to watch new releases a week before they hit the streets. Work with some pretty kickass people, my boss is totally cool.

Cons: Pay isn't as great, the dress code requires you to wear formal, dress shoe, which, standing and walking on for 6-9 hours at a time can be quite uncomfortable.

All in all, I love the job, especally if I'm gonna become the manager o.o;;

i'm currently an offsite intern for quest diagnostics.

Pros:
-$23 an hour.
-20 hours a week.
-no one really checks if i'm actually working the full 20 hours so i just get paid for 20 hours of work.
-the work is easy. a typical weeks worth of work can be done in 5 or so hours.
-you get a nice IBM laptop

Cons:
-The laptop isn't yours
-people think you're working 20 hours and sends you more work towards the end of the week and expects you to work over the weekend to finish it.
-lack of perks
-i'm not motivated enough to do the work most of the time
-100s of company emails daily about insignificant stuff they want you to do
-signing on to company intranet is a pain
-i gotta use NIKU because everyone else is
-repetetive tasks

for the last 3-4 yrs i've been a Pharmacy Technician for various pharmacies.. now im at CVS and i get into fights with customers all the time.

No joke, I work at the Zoo, I'm the guy that walks around in the bear/tiger/elf(on christmas) hugging kids and taking photos all day. (weekends only)

Yeah it's a pretty nice job, you get the feeling of making a few kids happy each day but the pay could be better (5.50 an hour, 10 hour day). But it has it's pros such as, getting up close with the animals and seeing all the hidden passages, free lunch/diner too.
