pbase is popular and has stayed popular because those of us who like to base alot don't get anything hosted for us anymore. I think i finally saw base hosted publically twice last week after it not being hosted in like 2 weeks. Both of those games were empty of normal basers becuase they were pbasing already and were not going to leave the better game. and i have now lost my point and why i was writing this.

I think it's time to move the #Mythrandir out into public... just have two captains picking teams... advertise it but keep it 8 vs 8, if people don't get to play tough luck. People entering TW for the first time need to see how it's meant to be played.

Increase public basing hosting and move private basing to a publicly advertised arena.

also, about levs, i think maybe when the settings were designed for levs there weren't as many players playing or players interested in LTing, now theres 2 or 3 LT's in every arena, and they're pretty good. they come nowhere near base, they play for rec, they act like they're hot shit, hell if i had 3 players protecting me, escorting me, greening me, driving me around maybe i'd act like i was hot shit too. to sum up, the settings need to take into account the larger number of people that LT.
raise the attach bounty, take away x radar, make antiwarp greenable, make levs unable to attach, reduce the levs power, theres dozens of way you can fix this game up. hell if you take x from terr or make it drain power, you solve two problems, you make x worthy of use, and you lower the # of lt's.

treu big -- some of those ideas are actually decent. however, I actually enjoy LTing, and I dont think that having to get levis to be able to attach needs to be a chore that nobody wants to do. if someone wants to LT or be LT'd, they should be able to, without having to do 43258 things to get there. granted, this issue should be taken seriously, however I dont believe that TW needs to go through a complete change :-/

Go read any one of the anti LT threads to understand why we want LTing to be a chore.

Since I can fairly safely assume you won't, I'll the sum them up for you. LTing ruins other people's fun. Lots of other people. The number of people who have had their fun ruined is much much greater than the number of people enjoying the LTing.
