Anyone else heard of them? I just downloaded some of their music, and I like what I hear... Not sure what genre I'd put them into, though. Sounds like something my gothic neighbour listens to, like Nightwish.

Blind Guardian sounds more like Gamma Ray or Hammerfall, check them out if you liked Blind Guardian.

Yep, been listening to them for years. However, their latest album wasn't as good as the previous albums IMO. I wouldn't compare BG with Hammerfall either. Hammerfall is different, although they are great too, but they don't sound like BG.

I (not so) affectionately refer to Blind Guardian as "D&D metal". Never cared for them.

Iced Earth, on the other hand, rocks the house.

Yeah, they're pretty good, I havn't heard Nightwish though.
