I'm happy to see this come to an end on a good note for Tito, they seem to have buried the hatchet now, which is good too. Good to leave this on a good note. I thought Tito was gonna blow him off, but he shook hands and raised Shamrock's hand. The fight wasn't a 3 round slugfest, but Ortiz definately just made the guard work for him as he always does.

Fuck, that was on? I had no idea.

Yea, that was a cool thing for UFC to throw that as a free card. I bought the PPV and was pretty disappointed to see the fight stopped before Shamrock got a decent beating. It was pretty fuckin crazy how much everyone booed the outcome of that fight.

I thought it was pretty cool how Shamrock and Tito made peace after the fight was done. At least there was enough class on both sides to let Shamrock retire from the UFC with respect.

Although it lasted longer than the 18 or so second long fight before, it was no where near as good as their first fight. Tito just plain dominates ground and pound. All in all it was nice to see Tito end it properly even though im skeptical about his sincerity. :fear:

Tito's a good guy, if you watched Season 3 of "the Ultimate Fighter", Tito took in a few of those guys after the show for Team Punishment up in Big Bear. In that same show, Matt Hamill definately takes after Tito's game, just needs more training on the ground-n-pound, but he's got tons of potential.

i thought the whole ortiz/shamrock thing was fake.
i'd even go so far as to say ken threw the second fight just to draw the whole thing out.

on a side note, the fight between ed herman and jason macdonald was awesome. herman's strength is supposed to be ground stuff, made it all the more impressive to me.

on a different side note, i wouldnt want ortiz bleeding on me when his girl is one of the most prolific actresses in the porn industry.

Thoughts from the card:

Matt Hammil is a terrible UFC fighter. I keep hearing aout his 'Awesome wrestling skills' and am Not seeing any above 'pretty good'. Furthermore, his striking is still awful, and everytime he shoots, EVERYTIME, he puts his head down, 1 knee and he's unconcious. If he fights a decent striker next, he will lose, and quickly.

Kendall: the fight was good, the digging of the grave, dragging the body, burying and the cross was the best though

Ortiz: the fight was quick, as expected. It was all Tito, i'm glad Shamrock retired, but still slightly surprised he didn't fight some schmoe just to go out a winner.

I thought this thread would be about Tito Jackson beating ass. Turns out, I'm disappointed.

Matt Hammil is a terrible UFC fighter.

He's just a rookie still, lots of rookie mistakes which can be fixed. He's used to one style of wrestling over the MMA style of grappling. Really, just a change of habits at this point.

The Herman/McDonald fight was awesome, I was really pulling for him to get outta the triangle (I believe he had him in a triangle choke, right?). But yeah, awesome technical match on the ground.

I was at work so I missed everything but the main event.

So Hammil fought? Did he win or lose? I hope they replay this shit, because I'd like to see Kendall's fight.

It was tuesday, all team punishment members won (tito, Kendall and Matt Hammil)

The Kendall fight's best part was Kendall after the fight. Fun taunting :p
