TWDD Tournament - Dec. 9 and 10

Prizes:

There are three prizes to be delivered to the top 3 finalists of this tournament. Keep in mind that by winning and losing matches, you will gain/lose points appropriately.

1st place: 75 points added to TWDD ranking
2nd place: 50 points added to TWDD ranking
3rd place: 25 points added to TWDD ranking
4th place: A piece of cherry pie (for the entire squad). And by a piece, I mean for the ENTIRE squad. Not a piece per person. :P


Rules:

1) The Top 16 Squads will be invited to the tournament on Tuesday Dec. 5th. If a squad so happens to not accept, they're spot will be offered to the next on the ladder.

2) TWDD will be shutdown 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the tournament on both days. Please keep this in mind when challenging teams around this time. Your game may be killed to promote.

3) The moderators/hosts will act as spectators only unless an issue arises that involves the change of the outcome of a game (aka cheating, etc.). This also means that the asstcaps/caps of the squads are entirely responsible for the fate of their squad. Lagouts, adding on time, etc. just like a typical TWDD match. Hosts are to look out for technicalities, spammers, cheaters, irregular lag on players. If any problems arise DO NOT sending in ?help or ?cheater calls, but PM the host ONLY. If a player sends in a call regarding their match, they will be !warn'd and even !ban'd for help call abuse.

4) Each squad will be given only FIVE MINUTES after announcement in zoners to challenge/accept their opposing squad. Failure to do so will cause a forfeiture from the squad that refuses to do so.

5) Blueout is entirely up to the squads in competition

6) 4v4 or 5v5 doesn't matter as long as both teams agree just like any normal TWDD match.

7) If a team is not accepting or not sending challenges and has agreed to play in the tournament, talk to the host about it. If further problems ensue with the team not wanting to play, they will be disqualified.

Word of Advice:

If you wish to participate in the Tournament, I suggest that you win TWDD matches until you are safely within the top 16 of the TWDD ladder to secure your option of being offered a position in the Tournament.



Tournament Setup:

Tournament Games will be as follows:

Saturday 4 PM EST - Round 1 and Quarter-Finals
Sunday 4 PM EST - Semi-Finals, 3rd Place Match, and Finals

The following squads are the qualified ones for the Tournament:

I will ask a SQUAD CAPTAIN if they would like to participate in the game. If a squad says no, the ladder will shift up and another squad will take their place. Any squad that can't get ahold of me or vice versa by midnight on Wednesday night will be replaced with the next squads on the TWDD list at that moment when the squads were first taken.



However, the losing squads of the Semi-Finals will battle each other for the 3rd place spot.

Just so things are formal and incase it's a close race, at 3pm eastern on Tuesday December 5th is when we'll take the top 16 in the TWDD ladder.

Edit: Remember, these points will be awarded to your TWDD squad, and there will NOT be another reset for TWL. So not only do these points go towards helping you qualify for TWL, but it's bragging rights. I'll make sure MVP's of the finals are both announced on the TWD website and zone wide messaged as well, so individuals that perform well in the final game will receive credit along with their squad!

my only objection to this is the seeding

if im not mistaken, syndicate is like 10th or something on the ladder and vizard or some other newbie squad is like top 5, that totally messes up the seeding considering how bad they are, one squad might have an ez way into the finals and another one will have a horrible time making it

Play and get your rank up, you have nearly a week. Beat the "newbie squad" and they'll go down.
