    Hockey Tourny

    Hey folks,

    listen up, stargazer & I are going to host a Big Hockey tourny!

    When?

    28th this month

    Time?

    20:00 GMT


    If you want to play in this tourny then get a team of 7 ppl (6 ppl play & 1 sub).

    you can sign up your team on here or msg me in game.

    the style of this tourny will depend on how many teams are willing to play.

    You got time till 27th ~ 12:00 GMT to signup for this tourny.

    I'm so in..

    For everyone to know (after I asked Barton): Hockey Zone players are allowed, and Barton will inform this tournament into Hockey Zone forums as well, so expect a hard and good tournament of this.

    For EVERYONE that doesn't know the rules of hockey and want to participate.

    Download continuum 0.39 prerelease and download the zone SSCE Hockey Zone. It starts living in about 5PM EST (the earliest) every day.

          Please, don't you think your defeating the purpose of Hockey Zone? If you want to play hockey, wouldn't you think you would go to the Hockey Zone to play. Our goal isn't to absorb another zone to create more TW players, HZ is fine by itself, and so is Trench Wars. Now we're going to have a bunch of HZers saying racial slurs and getting banned, yay :/

              I know, but isn't that what Hockey Zone was created for? I mean, it feels like Hockey is hosted every other event. In my personal opinion, I think thats why there is a zone, rather than having TW host Hockey 10 times a day and now add a tournament on top of it. Just my 2 cents.

                No point in complaining about this.

                There are a lot of european TW players that want to participate in Hockey events, be it in HZ or TW. However the league matches in Hockey Zone are from 5PM EST to 10PM EST, so most European players cannot participate in it even if they want. (EDIT: I waste my sleeping time to play and be a referee of games in Hockey Zone. The games are 12am-5am my time, but 95% of Europeans cannot do the same as me)

                Since this tournament takes place at about 3PM EST if my calculations are correct, it means more European players, more TW players, and the players from Hockey Zone that want to get to know TW a bit better, can participate on it.

                I've already taken steps in HZ forums about racism rules in TW. I've warned them that in TW, racism isn't acceptable, and will get them banned very easily and quickly if they do it.

                This tournament will result in a tougher bond between TW and HZ, and hopefully something like this/other tournaments can be done more in the future.

                I've noticed a lot of HZ players coming to play into TW when HZ is dead, server down, or when they simply are bored and want some change. (EDIT: This has started to happen when hockey started to be hosted more in TW)

                  alot of players move from tw to hz hockey.

                  I think the link between the zones is mutually beneficial.

                  the more people who play hockey and like it, more will go play in hockey zone

                      Not likely that its mutually beneficial to Hockey Zone, as anytime a newbie will get picked for a Hockey game in TW (which is very rare) he'll generally get cussed out and laughed at by most of his teammates. Well good luck absorbing HZ :P atleast for this tournament anyway lol

                              I think it would be a better idea to just let players sign up, and then let the hosts select the teams (making them as even as possible). This would:

                              Make SOME of the pros from HZ not want to play (the stupid pros that spread bad rumour)

                              Make for better games (HZ team can't dominate TW team)


                              At least let free agents post in this thread (I hope you are).
