Going to Montreal July 17-22nd

I'm going to Montreal from July 17th to the 22nd, I went last year around this time and had the best time of my life. I was looking at Kid Koala's myspace and he's playing at a club in downtown Montreal on the 20th, which is awesome. I'll be staying at a hostel located in the heart of Montreal so I'll be really close to everything I'll need. I was wondering if anyone lives in downtown Montreal or knows about anything I might want to checkout.

Here's some things I'll probably be doing

- going to la ronde
- finding the casino and hopefully win some cash
- visit old Montreal, probably go out for a fancy dinner
- Finding a comedy show, I had to pay the door man $20 to get in last time
- Seeing Kid Koala at Club Soda
- Visit the Labyrinth near the Science Center, that was quite possibly the best $10 I have ever spent, I also got a sick cardboard medallion last time

Lucky you for being able to see Kid Koala. If you go to old Montreal, check out what happening around the harbourfront, as well as watch some of the street people. If the casino you mean is Casino de Montreal, it's a pretty good casino (at least that is what my grandparents tell me).

I would recommend going to the Biodome de Montreal if you like animals and what not. I've always liked it when I visited.
Also, go find Schwartz's (its a Hebrew Delicatessen, and located at 3895 Saint-Laurent Boulevard) and have a smoked meat sandwich. Best in Montreal. My family always tries to go to Schwartz before we leave Montreal and buy a pound of the Montreal smoked meat, and its delicious as hell.

Yea I agree Schwartz is awesome! Try going to the mountain top/hilltop, its an awesome thing to do before you leave because you can see all the places you visited.

Neutral Milk Hotel is an awesome band. I'll definitely check out the biodome, I love animals and visiting new unique places. I'll look up the casino, I want to know if I'll be able to play texas hold'em while I'm there.

I've never heard Of Montreal but I assume their indie.
