This has been in development since a little before the name trade/acquisitions between Harmonix, MTV, and Activision. Well, I dunno which team is taking this over, but one of their concept designs for the thing looks pretty interesting.

The only problem I'm seeing is the sound quality.

I'm gonna be the first to say... that looks like shit, in a crappily-photoshopped-no-way-that's-actually-going-to-come-out kind of way.

Guitar hero isn't meant to be played alone with minimal volume on such a small screen.



I heard something or other about a guitar hero-esqu game coming out, but not the new up-comming guitar hero... Though it is coming out on the Wii.


Edit: since the topic is still GH, I might as well add release date's October 29th, all guitars are going to be wireless, faceplates will be detachable.

There's another game coming out called "rock band" which will have a drum set thinger (as well as two guitars and a microphone).
