This guy creates mods for the Wiimote for usage outside of the Wii itself. The video link at the top is how he makes a 3D portal using a wiimote and his special software.

Wow... That looked so much better than you'd expect it to be - and it's so easy to implement too, all the hardware is already there! If games appear using this technology on the Wii I will get suckered into buying my first console ever.
