View Full Version : umm, is this how an <ER> suppose to act???

im the cocap for Canada in the wbc, and i came in late for the match Canada vs E.A. so i asked zeus if he can put me in canada's freq? zeus told me he cant because he doesnt have the power, etc. So i found rucci* <ER> in the arena, so i asked him. he said no. then i pmed him, telling him that im cocap for canada, and just want to be on the freq to help. Rucci didnt reply, so i thought he went afk and i stopped asking. A few mins later, when Bosshawk (canada's terr) died, Rucci shouted TD!! So i pmed him again just in case he didnt get my first pm, and to my surprise, he just totally ignored me.
is this how an ER suppose to act to requests and questions? i mean, if he cant do it for a reason, he could have told me the reason or at least tell me "no, i cant because there are too many ppl on the freq". but instead Rucci just choose to ignore my request. i really dont understand how the ER's are chosen anymore...

And yes this actually works. I'd just like to thank KJW for sending me a reply to the complaint i made yesterday informing me that the bad staffer had been punished. Good work, KJW.

As for RuCCi* <ER>, i think he just got promoted to <ER> this week and he was chosen for <ER> because he was made <ZH> like about 6 months ago and was still around so (and no disrespect ment to staff or rucci) it was just time for him to move up whether he's earned it or not. Since he's the new <ER> around, i assume there will be 1 or 2 more posts made about him or his ignorance or whatever while he still learns the staff commands.

In defense of Rucci... he does that to a lot of people. Perhaps its just because he is busy. He was ignoring Weaver earlier today also so... whatever.

i understand if hes busy or if hes afk.. but the fact was i pmed him immediately after he said "TD", im pretty sure he saw my message.
im not trying to diss tw staffs, but whats the point to have someone as a staff when hes afk all the time and wont reply to anything.

Rucci just was promoted, give him a chance to learn the ropes. When you're staff you may not appreciate this, but you get spammed with PMs so much for people wanting in and stuff like that, sometimes it's hard work.

As for Rucci, it was time for him to move up. He's still a new ER... heck, I'm still a new ER, we make mistakes, his happened to be a different KIND of a mistake, but a mistake none the less :)

Yeah, that was fucked up yesterday. I tried to change the freqs of three people yesterday and nothing happened, even though I changed the freqs of about seven before them. Plus when I changed wadi's freq he got disconnected, but thats probably because no one likes him

If I play or watch a game, especially BWC I would have been F5'd or wouldn't have check chat.
And sometimes you're just busy and don't want to chat or anything? Rucci is a silent person, don't blame him for that.
I think he did nothing wrong.
About the be on freq helping thing. Yesterday ZeUs!! let me on my Sweden freq without playing, he must really be dissing you then. Don't blame Rucci for that.

No he/she shouldn't! But why didn't you ask ZeUs!! again? Rucci couldn't do more than ZeUs!!
I think you should talk to Rucci also about this, I'm sure he'll apologize if you are sorry for what happened.

Yes and if there is a huge bunch of people PMing you, spamming so you are really distracted.
People are killing so the message gets lost in kill messages.
Very well possible to overlook such a request or swiftly *setfreq and not noticing it didn't work due full freq.
When an arena is stacked as in BWC you can't always expect personal assistence.
For such big events like this, they should have side refs, for instances like this one here. The one host now, without the siderefs has alot of stress, and having more spread out, like having 2 ER's host one event.. that would be leet. One for the actual hosting, and one to help the people who have questions about it, or need help getting in. Sorta like the ZH position in the staff development, a slave. :)

Same thing happened ot me in one of WUSA's games. I couldn't get on the frequency because of a problem, but don't expect staff to answer every call, especially during something as big as BWC. :/
