Monitor shopping

So, it looks like me and my old 19" crt monitor of 9 years is going to be coming to an end lol. Moved into a new apt, and the space they have for it literally requires one of those thin, flat-pannel monitors--CRT is too bulky. Does anyone have some good suggestions?

I wonder how the quality of subspace will be on it.

Am I looking for something with very low ms response time? Like 2 ms? I was thinking of getting the Alienware-OptX 21.5" Widescreen LCD monitor.
