First if you haven't done so restart your SS client. If you're still having problems then post a trace route report from the GUI.

I have even restarted the computer.. still same problems..

The problem with trace logs these days is that alot ISPs dont allow more then 1 ping, rest is blocked,, soo It show up alot of packetloss on hop 10, 11,12 but nothing is wrong there... I haven even talked to the ISP owner of there routers,,ánd they confirmed they blocking pings.

But here is the trace route.

THEN.... I decided to run a new traceroute from one of my linux servers and then I get this...

As you can see ZERO packetloss but the client gives me Negative packetloss with ?lag !!!!

Something is very wrong with the packetloss calculation in the client

Soo I think the Client dont use ICMP to calculate packetloss as it should do.. Cos with ICMP i have 0% packetloss regarding to MTR thats a well used trace route program in linux. Soo if the routers 10,11,12 blocking the packets the Clients use for calculate ?lag then iam fucked, and alot other people using the same routers will be fucked, and no more DD for us.

I hope they REMAKE the ?lag calculation to use normal ICMP 6 to calculate lag.

Or have i missed something ???

      and idees ??

and email to programmers I can talk to regarding this matter ?

Yep, welcome to the joy of Hopone. Enjoy your stay.

Seriously, Hopone is total crap. Everyone has problems with their hops. Short of dropping a few nukes on their routers, I doubt there's much you can do.

I have negative packetloss for the first minute or two after entering the zone. It hasn't affected the ability to play TWD or any other arena though =/

So you're saying Hopone isn't actually making all this Ploss?

                YES.

                hop 1 have zero packetloss..

Iam connected via 100mbit to that router...

I think its continuum client thats calculates wrong.... cos its IMPOSSILBE with negative packetloss,,,,

Well, it'll be quite funny if we find out that everyone's packetloss isn't due to the hopone router, cause that's all everyone bitches about

I just used the command prompt to get the ploss to the two hopone routers my trace to TW goes through

The first one gets 0% ploss in both TW Trace and the cmd

The second one gets 99.1% in TW Trace and 100% ploss in cmd

Just cos the routers at hopone dont answer Pings dosent mean they loosing there packets for the other ports on TCP or UDP.

Only thing they do is to block ICMP traffing.

The problem is Continuum klient, calculating the Packetloss on some machines with some special settings/winupdates or what ever... I dont have the packetloss on all my computers.

Of course it's not really HopOne that's screwing up that badly. If you do a trace it says like 80-90% packetloss. Do you really think that's true?

Negative packetloss occurs when the server receives more packets than the client sends (or vice versa).

??? can you please explain that ..

if a router can keep up routing the streem of packets its dropping some of them thats making the % of packetloss to increase. (from 0% to 100%)

This game not using TCP to send packets.. its using UDP..

If it was using TCP it could resend a lost packet,, but cos its UDP the client can never tell how many packets should get or not,, if not the routine in the game know the exaclt amount of packets... And still the... if somethng is reproducing UDP packet to send more then it should to the server or to the clients,, inte not a router on Internet,... Its must be a programming error in the server or Client software.. cos negative packetloss cant exist.

Duplicated packets. For example, if you would have 100% negative packetloss the server would think you fired two shots instead of one. That's at least what I'd think of.
