  • Audio DVD disk

I want to burn music onto a DVD disk so I can play it in my cd player. DVD disks can hold 120 mins instead of 60, whcih is why I'm using DVD-Rs. I don't know how to do this - only how how make an audio CD. I use Nero (one of the latest versions) so if someone couldgive me a walkthru of how to use it that would be great!

    Thanks in advance

I don't know myself but Nero says:

You might want oot check if your cd player can play DVD's?

      Yeah...

I'm pretty sure you can't do this. You can make audio DVDs, but they will only play on DVD players. I am almost positive that your CD player will not be able to do this.

Get a portable dvd player that can do mp3s. With 128kbps mp3s, you get 4897 minutes. :fear:

CD is 74 minutes of audio. I believe once upon a time there were CD players that played CDs burned with mp3. You'd be able to fit 700 MB which is about 4-6 albums. With the popularity of hard drive/flash mp3 players you might be able to find a used one for cheap.

You might ebay something like this:

I think it's possible to burn something like 500 minutes of audio to a dvd disc and play it with a dvd player. Many people have a dvd player as their main cd-player in their living room.

Yeah, I've done that before, It works fine.

Except my DVD player's remote is really crap, you have to angle it all weird so its too annoying to change track and we dont have decent speakers on the TV.

If you can find a Rio Volt CD Player, it plays regular audio CDs, MP3s burned on CDs, and it has an FM radio tuner. (I love this thing.)
