Big thanks to Porkjet for recording all the games this weekend, and to all the mods for hosting!

    TWDT-D

    Terrorist vs. Curse
    50-37
    Round 1

The big question coming into this three-league matchup between #1 Terrorist and #4 Curse was: Could Curse survive Terrorist in 1 or 2 leagues, eke out a victory, and then get Ease back for the Finals, where they would be heavy favorites in anything they reached?

Their best shots at the title were in warbird and base. They had been very good in TWDT-D all season, and excellent of late in TWDT-B.

Without Ease, and with Attacks unable to show for the match, things looked bleak as Skatarius (10-10), Ricko (9-10), Weak (7-10), Bram (6-10) and Zizzo (5-10) couldn't muster enough firepower to take down the top-seeded behemoth.

Okyo (15-10), meanwhile, looked unstoppable, leading Major Crisis (12-10), who has been an instrumental low-star player for them all season, continuing to provide dividends in warbird, ahead of Dreamwin (9-2), Jones (7-5), and turban (7-10).

    HOT: Okyo (15-10)
    HOT: Dreamwin (9-2)

NOT: Zizzo (5-10). Zizzo has almost singlehandedly been the reason Curse made the playoffs ahead of a very talented Silence team, with a plethora of monster performances across all three leagues. If there ever was a time they needed a miracle from him, it was now, and instead he provided about as much clutch as a Tesla Roadster.

    ---

    Terrorist vs. Curse
    50-43
    Round 2

After a phenomenal season in warbird and javelin, Weak (9-10) couldn't find the extra gear needed to win this close match, bereft of support with Ricko (1-2) forced out due to lag problems which weaved their way through the league on Sunday, although Curse came very close, with Zizzo (9-10) and Bram (8-10) doing well, and an excellent sub-in from Shaun (9-8), and solid play from Skatarius (7-10), but fell 7 kills short.

Once again, Major Crisis (15-9), Okyo (13-9), and Dreamwin (10-7) proved the difference, with Turban (5-10) struggling both rounds and Jones (6-8) hovering around 1:1 while making his season debut for Terrorist, as the 3-league juggernaut kept rolling, clinching a spot in TWDT-D Final.

    HOT: Major Crisis (15-9)
NOT: Ricko's lag. This was a tight game, and in 3 successive lagouts, he went from difference-maker to dinner-maker. In both cases, he took a banger in the mouth.

    Power vs. Mortal
    50-22
    Round 1

    Video

This was poised to be a close match, with Team Cancer (aka Power) losing half its roster over the course of the season, and Mortal gaining the services of Vys and Siaxis late in the season, to compliment mainstay Racka.

Instead, Team Power barrelled along, running over Mortal in a 50-22 stomp as Iron Survivor (10-4), Cres (11-7), Zidane (11-5), Ra (10-3), and Eric Clapton (8-3) put in a -- dare I say -- unified team effort and a balanced attack to take the W.

Siaxis (8-10), Racka (6-10), Rough (4-10), Jebass (3-10), Cripple (0-4), Afri (0-4), and Pressure (1-2) are now on the side of a Milk carton, after completely disappearing in this match.

HOT: Team Cancer. But honestly, the way Iron Survivor has been playing, you could probably put him and 4 pylons out there and still win.
NOT: Rough (4-10). I trust Rough's attempts at being a 3-league player about as much as I trust the blurb on movie posters:

    ---

    Power vs. Mortal
    50-31
    Round 2

    Video

Captain Clutch, a.k.a. Cres (14-9), showed up to play these playoffs, taking on Best's load -- a task usually reserved for Lil*Piggy -- as Power decimated Mortal by 20.

I've never seen Ra (12-6) warbird once in my life, but he's apparently a quick study, going ham alongside TWDT-D scoring leader Iron Survivor (11-4), Eric Clapton (8-4), and Zidane (5-8).

Racka (12-10) put in a good effort in the second round, but struggles from Siaxis (7-10), Afri (6-10), Jebass (4-10), Pressure (2-8) and Rab (0-2) did them in.

    HOT: Ra (12-6)
    HOT: Cres (14-9)

NOT: Jebass (4-10). Jebass followed his 3-10 with a 4-10. I haven't seen this many rock hits since Led Zeppelin.

    Mortal vs. Power
    50-49
    Round 1

    Video

Mortal struck back in jav, as a razor-close game ensued, with Power maintaining a late 3v2 advantage that quickly evaporated as Iron Survivor and Raples died out, leaving Zidane against Rough and Rab, down 49-47.

Zid weaved and bobbed, finding an opening and taking out Rough 1v2, leaving him down 49-48 against Rab. In lockstep, they danced the dance of death, with Zidane gaining the upper edge but missing a shot he should have made, before Rab suicided, taking a much lower percentage shot but hitting, ending the game 50-49, as his gamble paid off.

Rab's (12-9) heroics proved crucial, shifting momentum back in their favor, as he led Ready (12-10), Rough (11-10), and Racka (9-10), with Stayon (4-10) in tow.

For Power, Zidane (18-10)'s colossal solo effort was almost enough to make up for absences of a third high-star player, as Raples (12-10) continued his strong play in jav, but couldn't rally the likes of Omega Red (8-10), Iron Survivor (4-10), Fork (2-6), or Cres (1-4).

    HOT: Rab (12-9)
    HOT: Zidane (18-10)

NOT: Fork (2-6). Fork continues to be a complete disaster despite given chance after chance. In terms of kills, he's like a frenchman, and seems unable to get past three.

    ---

    Mortal vs. Power
    50-38
    Round 2

    Video

Rough may have gotten embarrassed in warbird, dunked 1v2 the previous round, and ignominiously subbed in base, but he shined in Round 2 of this TWDT-J match, dropping a 16-9 to put the nail in Power's coffin in jav, leading Round 1 hero Rab (8-3), Stayon (8-7), Racka (9-10), and Ready (6-9) to the victory.

Zidane (11-10), Omega (10-10) and Cres (8-10) played well, but couldn't buoy a sub-par performance from Iron (6-10), or a ghastly one from Raples (2-10), as they lost by 12.

    HOT: Rough (16-9)
NOT: Raples (2-10). The only time a 2 should be next to a 10 is when Donald Trump stands next to his wife.

    ---

    Terrorist
    vs. Curse
    50-34
    Round 1

Dreamwin (14-7), Turban (13-8), and Kado (11-9) made quick work of Curse in javelin, as they led Singer (6-2) and Viiru (5-8) to a 50-34 win.

On the losing side, only Weak (9-10) approached parity, with maketso (6-10), shaun (6-10), bram (5-10) and Zizzo (2-6) all going negative, and a JAMAL (4-4) sub proving too little, too late.

    HOT: Dreamwin (14-7)
    HOT: Turban (13-8)

NOT: Zizzo (2-6). Curse's regular season hero turned back into a pumpkin on Sunday, although being a pumpkin isn't all bad -- the United States just elected one President.

    Terrorist
    vs. Curse
    50-45
    Round 2

This was an extremely close game, with Curse pushing Terrorist to the brink, but a concerted effort from the #1 team in TWDT proved too much, as Dreamwin (13-8), Singer (11-9), Turban (11-10), Kado (10-9), and Viiru (5-9) edged them out by 5.

Weak (10-10) continued the superb play we've seen from him all season in TWDT-D and TWDT-J, but needed slightly better performances from JAMAL (9-10), Shaun (8-10), maketso (7-10), and bram (6-10), who nevertheless played well.

    HOT: Dreamwin (13-8)
    HOT: Kado (10-9)

NOT: Not a single Round 3 in either WB or Jav -- boo!

      Curse vs. Terrorist
      15:00-5:54
      Round 1

      Video

Curse came out of the gate spitting fire, downing Terrorist by a whopping 10 minutes and taking an early 1-0 lead in their TWDT-B matchup.

Maketso (23-2) put in a recalcitrant effort, ahead of apt sharking from JAMAL (2.9 RPD) and Markmrw (2.7 RPD, 2 Teks), as their cram was something to be feared.

Bram (78-54), Skatarius (78-32), and Zizzo (78-47) led the charge, ahead of Smoking Blue and Murder.

For Terrorist, Major Crisis (24-8) terred in front of rodney (3.0 RPD) and Dwopple (2.7 RPD), as the #1 Seed fell to a rain of bullets in shocking style.

Beanie (80-43) was a beast for Terror, but couldn't prop up sub-par performances from Dreamwin (64-55), mcvicar (67-49), TJ Hazuki, Turban, or Viiru.

      HOT: JAMAL and Markmrw
HOT: Bram (78-54), Skatarius (78-32), and Zizzo (78-47)

      Terrorist vs. Curse
      15:00-9:13
      Round 2

      Terrorist Strikes Back!

Major Crisis (24-3) played it safe, ably leading Dwopple (2.7 RPD) and Rodney (2.9 RPD) to the W, as DW's team took the game 15-9.

Beanie (119-47) continued to power the offense alongside mcvicar (102-47, 3 Teks!), with Dreamwin (87-58), Turban, and Viiru not far behind.

maketso (41-10) struggled, dying ten times in a 24 minute match with both teams within 40-50 kills of each other, despite JAMAL (2.8 RPD) and Mark's (2.7 RPD) best efforts.

Skatarius (92-44) and Zizzo (87-67) were feisty, but with Bram (75-67), Murder (77-57) and Smoking (67-48) lagging in kills, Curse struggled to punch through Terror's front line, as the latter tied the series up 1-1.

      HOT: Beanie (119-57)
      HOT: Mcvicar (102-47, 3 Teks)

NOT: maketso (41-10). Like a black man in a horror movie, maketso died early and often.

      Terrorist vs. Curse
      15:00-6:39
      Round 3

Video (mixed with Power/Mortal's Round 3)

Terrorist prevailed in the end, eliminating Curse and reaching all three Finals, as they downed the opposing side in convincing fashion.

Major Crisis (25-2) stayed cool under pressure, letting his team do the heavy lifting, ahead of rodney (3.0 RPD) and Dwopple (2.7 RPD).

Dreamwin (103-50) proved a dominant force, leading mcvicar (84-41), Beanie (80-41), Turban, and Viiru.

For Curse, Zizzo (115-52) matched fellow Dudgeon member Dreamwin blow-for-blow, doing his best to power his squad's anemic offense sans Ease, but couldn't get the performances he needed from Skatarius (77-47), Bram (67-58), Smoking Blue, and shaun, as they fell by 9 minutes.

      HOT: Dreamwin (103-50)
      HOT: Zizzo (115-52)

      ---

      Mortal vs. Power
      15:00-8:19
      Round 1

Top-ranked TWDT-B Mortal came into this match as favorites, with a league-best 8-2 record, and took little time asserting their dominance, taking down Power 15-8.

Pressure (44-2, 3 Teks!) put on a clinic, skating circles around enemy terr Warportal, carrying Mortal with sizzling port traps, precision bursts, and well-timed portals, singlehandedly shifting the tides of battle and stifling Power's strong play from its sharks and spiders, demonstrating the strength of a superior terr in a competitive match, as Oder (2.7 RPD) and Rab (2.8 RPD) looked on in awe.

Cripple (117-48) continued his assault on base, dominating the game with aplomb and being the only player to hit 100, leading Stayon (94-44), Megalo (81-38), Banks, and Rough to the victory.

warportal (17-8) was completely out of his element, as Thix outkilled him by almost 30 and out-tek'd him 3-0, having the unfortunate task of taking on a top tier terr at the height of his game, and could do little but stand still and be the canvas Pressure painted a masterpiece on, as Zidane (2.9 RPD) and Omega Red (3.0 RPD) could do nothing to stop the bleeding.

Davy (81-51), M_M God (76-55), Mr. Homo, Ra, and Iron Survivor played well, but couldn't gain a foothold on this game, as Terrorist took a 1-0 lead in the series.

      HOT: Pressure (44-2, 3 Teks)
      HOT: Cripple (117-48)

NOT: warportal (17-8). A bit unfair to blame someone thrown to the wolves who hasn't started a league game in several months, alas, 'tis the Curse of the Terr: playing well doesn't guarantee victory, but playing poorly guarantees a loss. Bad luck to come up against someone in such good form!

      Power vs. Mortal
      15:00-1:21
      Round 2

      Video

The losing side struck back in force Round 2, taking the game 15-1.

With Power down 0-1, Ogron (22-0) came out of his 30 hour retirement to terr, alongside Zidane (3.0 RPD) and Omega Red (3.1 RPD).

Davy (71-19), Raples (71-21), M_M God, Iron Survivor, and Mr. Homo were ruthless in spider, as they won the game with a resounding thud.

Pressure (23-4) continued his strong play, but cracks in Mortal's armor started to show with Minotar/Megalo starting in place of Spezza as their 3rd high-star spid all Sunday, compounded by Stayon lagging out Round 2, as he quarterbacked ahead of Oder (2.6 RPD) and Rab (2.7 RPD).

Cripple (68-51), Megalo, Siaxis, Rough, and Banks could to little to stop the bloodletting.

      HOT: Raples (71-21)
HOT: Omega Red (3.1 RPD, 1 Tek)

NOT: Rough (36-40). Rough's spidering is a lot like his personality -- constantly negative.

      Power vs. Mortal
      15:00-9:36
      Round 3

Video (mixed with Terrorist/Curse's Round 3)

With the series tied 1-1, and Stayon's lag abated, the decisive third and final round would determine who would face Terrorist in the TWDT-B Finals.

This was a barnburner, as Power maintained a tenuous lead that evaporated to within two minutes late, before finally pulling away, taking down top-seeded behemoth Mortal by 5 minutes (The second time in three seasons Power upsets the #1 seed to reach the Final, defeating 8-0 Blooms in the TWDT-B 2015 Semis.)

Ogron (40-3) terred ahead of Omega Red (3.0 RPD) and Zidane (2.9 RPD).

Davy (114-45) and M_M God (97-67) were monsters, with an astonishing round from 6-Star Iron Survivor (105-67), as Raples (97-69) and Mr. Homo (83-49) took care of under.

Pressure (42-7) played extremely well ahead of Oder (2.8 RPD) and Rab (2.7 RPD), but the game proved out of reach.

Even in defeat, Cripple (116-76) couldn't be slowed, leading all spiders, as he teamed up with fellow Dice mainstay Stayon (99-60) and Penetrate veteran Minotar, ahead of Stung and Siaxis, who subbed in for a struggling Rough (10-17).

      HOT: Davy (114-45)
      HOT: M_M God (97-69)
      HOT: Iron Survivor (105-67)

        Player of the Week

WB of the Week: Cres and Major Crisis
While no one can deny Okyo played terrific and is the superstar leading Terrorist, Major Crisis dominated Curse, putting up massive scores of 15-9 and 12-10 to help his team reach the TWDT-D Finals. Cres delivered when it mattered most, with sizzling 14-9 and 11-7 scores against Mortal. Holy!

        Honorable Mention: Okyo (15-10, 13-9), Iron Survivor (11-4, 10-4), Ra (12-6, 10-3)

Jav of the Week: Rab and Kado
Attack of the low-stars! Rough was a beast in Round 2, but it was Round 1 that completely shifted the momentum of the series against Power, as he dueled 1v1 against 4x TWLJ Champion Zidane at 49-48 and won the day with a 12-9, then following it up with a sublime 8-3. Similarly, Kado plays Robin to Turban's Batman, but has been instrumental at the 7-Star slot in Terrorists continued success, providing great play with 11-9 and 10-9 rounds to help secure a TWDT-J Finals spot. Kudos!

        Honorable Mention: Turban (13-8, 11-10), Rough (11-10, 16-9)

Baser of the Week: Omega Red and Cripple

Omega Red stepped up his game in the playoffs, managing a 3.1 RPD and 3 teks across the final two rounds of the Semi-Finals, helping Power reach the TWDT-B Finals with stellar timing and stalwart crams. Cripple's swan song did not disappoint, as he proved unstoppable in spider, notching 117-48 and 116-76 games as he went down swinging.

        Honorable Mention: Beanie (119-57, 80-49), Pressure (44-2, 3 Teks), Iron Survivor (105-67), Davy (114-45, 71-19), Zizzo (115-52)

Player of the Week: Dreamwin and Zidane
The two most decorated TWDT captains in history led their teams to multiple finals this week, as Dreamwin dropped 9-2, 10-7 scores in warbird, scorched Curse with 14-7, 13-8 outings in javelin, and finished them off with a Kamehameha in the form of 103-50 and 87-58 performances in spider to reach all three finals. Zidane, meanwhile, smote Mortal in TWDT-D with an 11-5 game, falling just short in TWDT-J with a Herculean 18-10 match in a 50-49 game and an 11-10 in the follow up. Finally, the overall kills leader in shark this season tackled TWDT-B, taking down the top-ranked team with a 3.0 RPD to make two of the three finals. Nice work!

            TWDT Finals

Congratulations to Dreamwin's Terrorist on reaching all three finals for the second consecutive year -- a feat never previously achieved (although Hulk's dun vs me technically achieved a similar coup-de-grace, reaching all three in 2011 and 2013, electing not to captain in 2012.)

Felicitations are also in order to Pressure's Mortal for reaching the TWDT-J Final, as Stayon and Rough attempt to defend their title. They won the championship with Dreamwin last year, so regardless of who wins, one of them will become back-to-back winners.

Condolences to Curse, who were eliminated by the 23-win juggernaut that is Terrorist today. Attacks put together a great team that would have been a serious threat in any Final they reached with Ease returning, but alas, Turban and Okyo didn't let the genie out of the bottle. It would have been nice to have four teams in the final, but alas, 'twas not to be. Hopefully they return next season.

Finally, my compliments to Zidane's Power on advancing to the TWDT-D and TWDT-B Final. Both these finals are grudge matches, as Dreamwin defeated Zidane in the warbirding semi-final last season, while Zid got the better of him in the basing final.

This will be the fifth time in six seasons that Dreamwin and Zidane face-off in the TWDT-B playoffs, the third time in the Finals, and the second time as captains leading their respective squads, which each winning two apiece.

Terrorist vs. Power -- 2016 (Fall) Finals
Terrorist vs. Baratheon -- 2016 (Winter) Finals
            Blooms vs. Power -- 2015 Semi-Finals
            Kusoge vs. Power -- 2014 Semi-Finals
Terrorist vs. Power -- 2012 Finals

While all three captains have already won titles leading squads in TWDT (Pressure led Burger Nipples to victory in TWDT-D in 2008), Dreamwin and Zidane continue to chase history in their quest to surpass Hulk's dun vs me as the winningest team in history. Dreamwin is already assured of moving ahead of hulk with a point for each of his finals reached, putting him at 15, but Zidane could claim the #1 spot should he win both his games against Terrorist. A split would leave DW as the winningest captain of all-time.

Good luck to all three teams this Sunday!

I apologise to zidane round one, I just turned up to watch game but got added. Unfortunately my wife wanted me to find a bracelet that she lost and wanted me to find it there and then, we got into an argument and she pulls the internet cable out lol. Just really bad timing. Yeh it's been a disaster for me but at the end of the day it's just a game, I still have my moments of genius in twd. Gj for running the league well
