Too much talk. I think we want to genuinely make positive changes to pub and have them implemented we need to write an RFC and discuss it (not on these forums). Outline the problems, proposed solutions etc

    Take this for example: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...Wyy86U3gI/edit

Happy to help debate and make improvements.

Thank you Qan for your replies. I agree that pub is about pursuing your own goal. This is what makes it fun and unique. Do think people, including myself, can get stuck in their own little goal too much and not make an effort for the greater fulfillment of cooperation. Especially when the mood turns sour. That's why I think mechanics to encourage cooperation is a good thing. Like bot messages/rewards and flag timer.

I had many good times with LT. Also basing, LT hunt, roofing, turret terr or just wbing in the open. It was all part of the game and that made it so interesting, varied and dynamic. Yes, levs are weaker now and it's hard to survive the wbs out in the open and get to a greened state. Not to mention few people LTing now.

You mean chat channels? Like the red one (squad chat or what do they call that)?

I checked the Steam page, there's some stuff there to get newbs on the way. That written beginner's guide looks pretty good. Video guide would have to be condensed, to the point and in bite-size chunks according to theme, instead of one long boring video. But would take a lot of work and somebody has to do it.

So often I turned on the game without ever giving it a thought of all the hard work put in by others to make it possible. Just playing selfishly for my own enjoyment (or frustration if things didn't go my way ;-) ). So I'd like to thanks everyone who put in their personal time and genuine effort. You know who you are. We as players owe it to you.

And yes, sucks that GOG isn't interested. Or mainstream gaming in general. It's a multi-million dollar industry, so there's a lot of competition and it's hard to catch some of the lime light from Big Money. Would be sad to see this game go, but at least we had what we had. This was a really great game (still is).

    Hi,

Thanks a lot for your submission and your interest in GOG.

We’ve taken a look at your title, it seems like an engaging game with
    some cool features.

Unfortunately, however, we feel that it would not be a good fit for
GOG. Right now we are fully focused on releasing titles that are going
to be a perfect match for our users. Because the number of the new
game releases grows, our release schedule is already packed, so we
need to have a special consideration for our curating system.

I am afraid that your title does not match our criteria, so we need to
    pass on it.

But please be aware that if anything changes, we have your contact and
we will definitely get in touch. Should you have any other games in
the future, please don’t hesitate to submit them as we’re always on
    the lookout for great gems.

It did seem like a standard denial in a way.. no real specifics as to why ect.. plus it did say as of now.........but.. throwing this out to the community. Perhaps it would be worth others trying to submit the game again and put some pressure on them. I do notice GOG is VERY light with MMO's. They usually seem to have these single player type games. I think we would be such a great fit. If someone else would like to try and talk to Jacek Niemojewski <jniemojewski@gog.com> it couldn't hurt. Any ideas how to improve the hype or anything would be appreciated. I did mention Steam was carrying us and tried to use that as a selling point. I wonder how much they really considered it. I went through the online submission category they had on the site but perhaps direct emails to him and maybe a bunch may get his attention.

This is their link for free shooter games they currently have... it is some old style bs like early duke nuke'em stuff sigh. Subspace Continuum would blowup as a free shooter game here imo. Their list is pathetic lol.

GOG is very selective in what they want to back and they are as you mentioned, single player focused. GOG has very high standards for their customers as far as quality content while at the same time are much smaller than Steam in nearly every way. GOG is most likely concerned with the inability to monitor/control their customers experience playing MMO's or any competitive online games in general. Steam has put a lot of money into Valve Anti-Cheat (VAC) to help identify cheaters and are fairly active in monitoring their popular online games/MMO's. I do think we would do well if we could convince GOG to carry us but the chances are quite slim. A large part of the problem that I can't help but see is the lack of ownership for Continuum, we all know who owns this game and unfortunately he doesn't seem to care about it or the current player base. If the game was owned by Qan for instance, the possibilities would be limitless. The current situation we are in has many boundaries on what can be done from the outside in, example adding more ships/customization options or simply just changing the behavior of the game. I think we should focus on petitioning for a change in ownership right now over anything else. That is my 2 cents. Have a great day. Bye!

Instead of elim just introduce a king of the hill style elim in pub.

I've played in a zone before that had yellow squares beside a player's name so you could see who was still in it. Once they're killed they're out.
