yeah that should probably be handled with forum staff somewhere else but that sort of thing is grounds for having forum mod powers removed

I've spoken with Beasty, and came up with a solution. We'll add two slots on Wednesdays to cover both Euros and West Coast players.

            Wednesdays:

            TSLD -- 3:00pm EST
            TSLJ -- 3:30pm EST
            TSLB -- 4:00pm EST

            TSLD -- 9:00pm EST
            TSLJ -- 9:30pm EST
            TSLB -- 10:00pm EST

If I see that dog trapped in a human's body Henry Salami anywhere near my posts again, though, I'll personally fly to Finland and kick his buck teeth in.

                Yes!

If you can show, you can play.

The more, the merrier. There is no downside to playing as much as you can, it only helps your chances of becoming a TSL All-Star.

You want to play as much as possible to put forward the best 20 rounds you can in any league to get the highest $ Value possible. If you play 20 rounds and go:

                1: 20$
                2: 7$
                3: 0$
                4: 11$
                5: 17$
                6: 33$
                7: 8$
                8: 8$
                9: 10$
                10: 18$
                11: 3$
                12: 14$
                13: 6$
                14: 4$
                15: 15$
                16: 12$
                17: 13$
                18: 9$
                19: 11$
                20: 20$

Your value will be the sum of those 20 Rounds.

If you play 21 rounds and go:

                1: 20$
                2: 7$
                3: 0$
                4: 11$
                5: 17$
                6: 33$
                7: 8$
                8: 8$
                9: 10$
                10: 18$
                11: 3$
                12: 14$
                13: 6$
                14: 4$
                15: 15$
                16: 12$
                17: 13$
                18: 9$
                19: 11$
                20: 20$
                21: 20$

Your value will be the sum of your 20 best rounds. By playing an extra game, you've removed your lowest value game and replaced it with a 20$ game, raising your value by 20$

If you play 22 rounds and go:

                1: 20$
                2: 7$
                3: 0$
                4: 11$
                5: 17$
                6: 33$
                7: 8$
                8: 8$
                9: 10$
                10: 18$
                11: 3$
                12: 14$
                13: 6$
                14: 4$
                15: 15$
                16: 12$
                17: 13$
                18: 9$
                19: 11$
                20: 20$
                21: 20$
                22: 13$

You've replaced your second lowest game (4$) with a 13$ game, raising your overall value by 9$. Those extra two games have bumped your total value up 29$.

Just keep in mind this isn't an iron man competition, those 0$ and 4$ rounds do NOT count towards your value, they are not summed. Your value is only the sum of your best 20 rounds.

Also remember there is NEVER a reason to sit or not play, as you can never get worse than 0$ in a game, so you can never reduce your current value by having a bad game.

If you've already got your 20 best games in and decide to hop in to sabotage others, you will be permanently banned from TSL, and it will backfire horribly. This isn't League of Legends where you're some anonymous tool with no oversight.

First day was good. I like this format. I've been trying to work out how I'm going to get 20 games and not sure it's even going to be possible. So the number 20 which is meant to promote activity is doing the opposite for me if I think I wont even get to 20.

There are 1-2 sundays i cant make. And most of the weekday games are too late.

Plus it favours those who can play a lot more than 20. Barely scraping 20 means your bad games count.

You can qualify for the Sunday only category, 50% of the All-Star spots are reserved for those.

I'm also going to try to get impromptu TSL games hosted when there are lots of people online as makeup sessions.

If people feel playing 20 out of 38 games (or 10 out of 14 Sundays) is too steep, I'm willing to lower the threshold.

Let's play a bit and see how it goes, and what the showrates are.

We can also just extend the season a bit but keep the thresholds the same.

I don't want it turning into an ironman competition where it's just people who can show make it (but at the same time, you need to play a fair amount.) Let's try to see how that balance goes and then determine what to do.

I think it is smart to wait and see before making any changes with requirements, etc. However, I do like the idea of extending the season if anything since it will keep the activity going without having a large gap between leagues.
