    Opera for free

    Go to http://my.opera.com/community/party/reg.dml, insert e-mail address and you get registeration codes for free. Then just install opera and register it. Tho I'm not sure is the ad only thing different between registered and unregistered version..

    Also Note: For one day only, you can get an ad-free version of Opera. ... This offer is valid from 12 a.m. Tuesday, August 30 to 12 a.m. Wednesday, August 31 2005 (PDT).

          Firefox is great
          expecially if you have dial up ^-^

          Opera is faster but costs moooney <_<

            It may be faster, but Firefox has extensions, and that makes it better.

              Is there a firefox extension to do Opera's fast-forward and rewind (automatically find "next" page and jump back to first browsed page in a domain)? Those are essentials when I use Opera and I miss them when using FF.

                I don't know whats so bad about one little banner ad in opera, that doesn't really disturb you. ( or just go with the text version ad) Opera is free, you can use it freely with the ad system. Its not like you don't see ads on the net. Firefox is good, but not as you get it, you need to get extensions for firefox to be as good as opera is.

                I think its just stupid to reject a good browser, just because everyone is using FF because its as free. And as I said, opera is free to use. The only thing about opera is that you pay for the removal of the ads, that doesn't even bother a single inch.

                    Firefox doesn't have as much vulnerabilities as Internet Explorer, and it has those nifty tab's which are really handy. Stop using IE, and get on with Firefox.

                      seriously, what GOOD benefits do I get of using mozilla/firefox/opera/wtfrandomname ? I already got myself a popup-blocker, and I don't see myself needing anything else either.

                            Tabs and security are diamond. With Opera, I also like how you cannot open 2 operas at once while there can be many Firefoxes open. Even a javascript-pop-up, be a picture or a flashsite, opens in a tab inside the original browser. And everything what geekbot talked about. Only thing I miss about Firefox is Adblock. I still haven't found a adblocker with such power for Opera. Actually, I haven't found any adblocker at all. I've gotten used to ads again so it's fine after all.

                              Why is everoyne so paranoid about security vulnerabilities? There must be something else because no one in their right mind would have any desire to hack into my computer and find... lots of music which is available on soulseek anyway
